I love the idea, and concept of this game! I can see so vividly this evolving, and become something so captivating. From the care into the aesthetics, music, and world themes there’s a lot here to be proud of! Despite the known glitches I can see that the game has care put into it. Those lovely tiles I feel need to be explored even more, and somehow make their way into your background. The solid color breaks my immersion a bit, and I know it is something that will really add to this work! One thing I felt was weird was the position of the camera. It felt off as I was playing the game, and made me wonder if where I was jumping would lead me to my end or not. I think the foundation of this game is solid, and if you were to ever go back and refine what you have I believe would make something incredible!
This game is crazy good!! I love the idea of a dnd-type bard character trying to escape the dungeon, and the game is full of really charming stuff at every turn. I especially liked the instructive signs, the upbeat music, and the way the attack is a curse bubble, it's all really fun and creative. Also the giant enemy got a laugh out of me the first time, and a bigger laugh the second. There are a few bugs, but not much that isn't already noted in the description. If anything, I think the level design could be more concise; it's definitely gives a little bit of a "winding dungeon" feel, but that design makes a little less sense for settings like the open desert level.
The art is really nice! That title screen is gorgeous. I love the design of the main character and the animations. The e attack being a censored curse word (I think...) is funny. I do wish that we could either see more of the map as we're playing (zoom out a bit more) or the platforms were closer together. It would make navigating the map a bit easier. Overall though it was fun! Nice! :D
